hi,

the board is 2nd hand and i didn't receive the FW module with it so i thought may as well get a proper FW card cos the onboard module apparently isn't so good when u start doing more intensive stuff

I've founs two so far:

1. Miglia Alchemy FW Card
2. ADS Tech Basic DV Pyro

I think the Adaptec 4300 cards used to have a TI chipset but no longer so be careful.

thanks for your reply, i think the problem is that the new adaptec 4300 cards are NOT fitted with TI chipsets anymore i've seen two cards since this post, one is Miglia Alchemy and ADS Tech Basic DV Pro , they are both designed for digital video editing but are essentially just firewire cards with d...

Compatible Firewire PCI cards for MOTU 828 mk11

Hi

i just built a new DAW with an ASUS A7N8XE Deluxe motherboard.

Does anyone have a list of firewire PCI cards I can install so I can use my MOTU 828mk11 with it. I know that it needs to be a TI or Lucent chipset but i can't find any cards with that chipset,]
