What DAW software ere you using?? Ive had the same problem on 3 machines myself! But it is not so random. it usually happens when I am switching I/O routing, or opening projects or sometimes inserting UAD plugins. I am running Cubase 4, but this was true with Cubase SL1.6 and SX2.2 as well!

Have you selected the correct word clock source in the motu setting panels on each computer? It will default to internal clock otherwise

I don't notice it while my computer is on. My computer is reasonably quiet. you might notice it on a heavily compressed mic if you track in the same room, but it is not loud enough to obscure anything while mixing IMO. I havent had mine that long... maybe the older ones are louder??

My question would be; what will that do to the warrrenty? I would hate to buy a new product then immediately void the warrenty ...
