Re: Digital Performer and M1 Macs...
MOTU didn't say it's "not supported". They said it's "Not Compatible". That means you can't rely on it working, and won't be able to until they make the necessary changes. You might be able to launch it and might be able to use some functions. But you risk crashes, corrupted pro...

This is what it says on the MOTU website: "Digital Performer and Performer Lite (any version) are not yet compatible with macOS Big Sur. Please continue to check this web page for late-breaking information regarding versions of these two MOTU apps that will be compatible with macOS Big Sur.&qu...

Re: Digital Performer and M1 Macs...
The people that write it and sell it say is doesn't. But what do they know? sure, but presumably they would also say that DP9.x doesn’t work? 🤨 This is what it says on the MOTU website: "Digital Performer and Performer Lite (any version) are not yet compatible with macOS Big Sur. Please contin...

Re: Digital Performer and M1 Macs...
When I used DP10.13 on my Mac Pro (trashcan looking thing) it took almost a minute to load the Garritan Abbey Roads Yamaha CFX Grand piano library. I think I remember that it had 32 gigs of ram. With my new Mac Mini (M1) and 16 gigs of ram, and 1TB SSD, the same piano completely loads and is ready ...

Re: Digital Performer and M1 Macs...
That’s excellent news that DP 9.5 works un R2 mode. Can anyone confirm DP10 also works like this? I see no reason why not but you never know

Re: DP for iOS?
I’m dragging this up from the past because the iOs landscape has changed a LOT since this original thread. the iPad pro is phenomenally powerful, and iPad OS addresses the file-management issue amongst other things. I for one would really like to see DP move on to iOs. Anyone else? Anyone heard anyt...

Re: DP Control Dead...Good alternative?
However in an older version I was able to edit all the labels manually, INCLUDING the headings of the groups, which meant I could visually organise things better into logical groups. I can’t remember if I did that I. The interface or by manually editing a file, but I did it, and it was good. :) It ...

Yes I see that and I can edit the button captions just fine. However in an older version I was able to edit all the labels manually, INCLUDING the headings of the groups, which meant I could visually organise things better into logical groups. I can’t remember if I did that I. The interface or by ma...

Re: Time compress multiple drum tracks...Help...
In what way are the results unsatisfactory? Sonically, or rhythmically? When using the pitch/timestretch feature there are different modes available: PureDSP (the old default method which works best for monophonic audio such as vocals) as well as two new modes, ZXT Standard and ZXT formant-corrected...

Re: Tracks doesn't sound when pasted!
Check that the outputs assigned to your tracks are “connected” to your actual speaker outputs in DP’s bundles window.

Re: DP Control Dead...Good alternative?
So I upgraded the app and dissapointingly, but somewhat predictably, the ‘new’ CC edit feature doesn’t allow editing of the button headings like it used to, which makes it difficult to get the labelling really clear and helpful. Anyone else using it, please leave feedback on the iOs store with a rev...

Re: how to use keyboard to multi select several soundbites
Selection is quite complex in DP. I know this isn’t what you want to hear (I’m away from my mac) but you should check the manual section on selections. You will learn a lot more useful tips that way. It’s worth it!

Re: Audio file names (labelling)
Not as far as I know. You could add a prefix to each track name before you record and that would do it. Still a manual process but at least once you've name the track, subsequent sound bites will be named properly. Eg track one in new song is named “ns_violin”. Track one in old song is named “os_vio...
