Re: Reluctantly Upgrading to Lion on Macbook 2GHz Core2Duo
bayswater, Thank you so much for the info. The only down-side to all of this is that I have yet to update to WAVES V8 from version 5. After I get the install up and running with LION, I will get the WAVES installed. I see that you're using an iMac also. I really can't afford a new one. Any suggestio...

Actually, I needed to be more mobile to fly to Detroit more often and take care of business for a sick Uncle. Any way I sold my G5 and upgraded to an Intel M...

How do I assign the Modulation Wheel PLEASE HELP!!!
Never thought I'd have to become a synth programmer  Now it's time learn and it begins now. The beauty of hardware synths is this; when you're working with a lead synth patch and you move the modulation wheel, you get the vibrato. Now that I am exclusively using MachFive, I can't figure out h...

Dear Members, I humbly seek your help/advise once again. I was using a PowerBook G4 667Mhz for years. I loved the ability to move about with my mobile setup. In February 2008, I purchased a used PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0. Many of you who responded to my last post suggested an iMac. However, I wasn't read...

Re: DP 5.01 & Powerbook G4 1.67Ghz
stiefelmusik, Thank you for the comment. I was told by a friend that my purchase was a waste of money. Since I've had it, I've have thrown the kitchen sink at this machine. I am using Tiger 10.4.11, DP 5.01, and MachFive v1 with 16 parts, and 16 audio tracks and my processor has yet to reach 50%. I ...

Re: DP 5.01 & Powerbook G4 1.67Ghz
Thank you so much emulatorloo, I had a few concerns in the beginning, but my doubts are slowly fading away. You hit the nail directly on the head with the info about the memory and the 2nd Hard Drive :D If you would be so kind, I have a few questions to ask: 1. What OS are you running to use DP 5.13...

Re: DP 5.01 & Powerbook G4 1.67Ghz
Thank's to everyone for their time and comments. :D I am purchasing an iMac (refurb). I think it is the best way to go considering I'll have the speed and the screen "Real Estate" combined. I simply cannot afford a MacBook Pro at this time and The iMac is still a portable option if I need...
