You need a MIDI interface hooked up to the Mach5 dedicated computer
no you don't... since tiger, there is "MIDI networking", or MIDI over LAN, built in.

Apple is full of surprises.

FYI, most hardware instruments (korg, roland, yamaha, etc...) have latency in the 10-13ms range. As electronic musicians, we've learned to play on top of the beat to hear the sound we want. the problem is when you quantize to a grid - you won't like how it feels (it's late) and some poorly designed ...

multiple outputs from M5 in proTools!

ProTools version 6.7

How long do you suppose before MOTU can make Mach5 work with multiple outs in protools?

This is a significant feature that other audio hosts have had for a long time... finally for us pro tools users... hopefully MOTU will make this happen soon.
