Thanks Dwetmaster - I appreciate you taking the time to listen and post your comments. Re: the pirate ship ... actually this guy (Cap'n Drew) is a space pirate. He created cardboard stormtroopers too. It's all a bit inane, but I like his sense of obtuse humour. Re: MSI - it was my first opportunity ...

Thanks Shooshie - I renamed those files and took the spaces out. :) (Now that I've fixed my original post, could you do me a favour please and remove those examples in that post above? I don't feel comfortable having my homepage details exposed on a forum in plain view. I appreciate your efforts and...

MLC - I'm happy if I made your day a touch brighter. ;) Seriously, I do enjoy popping in here now and then. robstudio - Thanks for the welcome. :) I'm not convinced I'll end up purchasing DP - but I will always have a soft spot for MOTU and intend to maintain some connection with them as my collect...

MSI orchestral arrangement (mp3 links inside)
I'm not a regular contributor to these forums, but I made a post recently and thought I should try and be a little more active. :) So, since I only own MSI, I thought I'd post an arrangement of a theme song I did for a friend of mine who runs Pirate Palooza ... and, who also invented the rPhone . Th...

I have to admit, I'm only a lurker and my frequenting of unicornation is sporadic: the recent release of Logic Studio brought me back here. I do not own DP, but I used to use Performer as my sole sequencer back in the early 90s. Currently, from MOTU, I only use MSI and, by extension, an iLok. ;) Thu...

The Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse is awesome. Wireless, ergonomic, a plethora of configurable buttons and it includes an OS X Sys Prefs Control Panel.
Definitely worth checking out.

Thanks zerosin - I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. :) Do you have any idea how my lowly Ti550MHZ PB will be able to handle dp? Admittedly, I'd be just as happy with MIDI and being able to record just a couple of tracks as audio via the Traveler. (I'm only just getting back into it -...

*BUMP* Surely some wise counsel can be found on these boards? :) I'd like to order soon - because I hope to receive the goods before Christmas (in China). What do you think? Sequence again with dp on my Ti550MHz PB or try and incorporate MSI into some Live tracks hoping that it does not cripple the ...

purchasing advice: MSI or dp
Hi all, I realise that these are two completely different apps, but I am after some opinions to help me make up my mind. Here's the scenario: dp (upgrade price from my old copy of Performer) is close enough to the same price as MSI for me. My current computer is a TiPB 550MHz with 512MB of RAM. I ow...

Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I'd jump in on this one. I have a Ti550PB and need a MIDI/audio interface. Want to get the Traveler and run it with Live for MIDI stuff primarily, but would also like to be able to record audio as well. (No longer have my eye on a dedicated MIDI interface...

I'm diggin' it so far. Your system needs to be in good shape, especially if its an older one like mine. I have a TiPB550MHz with 512MB of RAM. I own Live and have some $ to spend. Was thinking of the Traveler and MSI. I want to get back into dp - but don't want to pay for it now and then hav...
