Volume Automation Question (editing sibilance/'esses')
Been a DP user for a long time, but I'm more of a musician than an 'engineer' lol. Working on editing some vocal tracks, and I'd like to automate the volume on the vocal's 'esses'. Saw a great video from Dave Pensado and he very quickly selected the 'ess' portion of the soundbite (in Pro Tools howev...

So what's the concensus on Electric Keys!?
I'm dyin' to know if the thing rocks or not. I am in the market for an EP library, and I've been hoping for the best from this one, but I've been wary after feeling a little let down on Symphonic Instrument....

S2 does look nice, I'd really love to have a Hart dynamics Pro Kit. what a time saver that would be. No kidding. It's amazing how ridiculously expensive e-drums are. I hope prices start to come down now that the market interest is growing with so many really great sample libraries are out there now...

I have a suggestion: Perhaps some of the happy, experienced MSI users could provide some MSI Tutorials, maybe even offer up some whole DP files with MSI projects in them, because I HAVE heard great stuff from MSI (especially the motu audio demos), but I am a novice MIDI composer, and I have yet to a...

Well, yes and no. As terrible as this sounds, MSI does some things very well, and others quite terribly. I bought it about a year ago, and have come to the conclusion that for string sounds, MSI is quite terrible. It's not so much the sound QUALITY that sucks, but the SEVERE lack of articulations ma...

I think everybody freaks out about how powerful your computer has to be to run Ivory. I run it on a Dual 1.8 Ghz G5, with the samples coming off of a 7200 RPM FIREWIRE drive, and it runs fine! You might not be able to max out the polyphony, but I can get upwards of 100 voices easy. I would say that ...

DP 5.11 Crashes when using loop controls! Gonna Freak Out!!
Very often while using the loop control buttons in the shuttle window, I get a crash. I will set my loop start and end points, and when I hit the rewind button to set the wiper back to the beginning of the set loop time, I get a beach ball, and DP stops responding. I can't save, and I have to Force ...

nice. You know, this is one of the few patches that I think sounds ridiculously good. Why didn't they do 88 of these chords and use every damn key on the keyboard? It sucks that there aren't all the major and minor basic chords, and the organization is just weird. The first octave on the keyboard sh...
