Thanks for reply. Motu emailed me and told me it makes no difference which pci slot i used. Strange since some run at 133 and others at 100, (they didn't tell me which is which), but....I get cpu spikes, not always but usually when least desired. I might have to do a clean install of 10.4.2, elsewhe...

You need to get an upgrade at https://secure.motu.com/store.html It's called a PCI-X 424 g5 upgrade.

PCI-X 424 G5 card issues

I recently bought a dual g5 2.3 1gig Ram and had to upgrade to the PCI-X 424 G5 card due to PCIX slots. Now when i am recording, when i hit playback, i get "Processor overload " warnings and have to stop. It should be impossible, since it's a faster rig and nothing else has changed. Has th...
