No, you're not the only one. If I trash preferences it works fine for a while, but after 30 or so autopunches, it starts to crash again.

Punch-in crashes
Still crashing on punch-in recording. I trashed my preferences, etc. and upgraded to 5.1. All was well for a time -- thirty or so uneventful punch-ins -- then the problem came back. Crash! Alas, back to 4.6!

CPU spikes
CPU spikes while recording have been a nightmare for me since upgrading to DP5, particularly while punching in. I switched back to DP 4.6 and the problem disappeared.
