Re: Need smaller increments on track automation

... I select a large group of nodes and let's say I want to bring them all up .05. REGION THE CONTINUOUS DATA COMMANDS Continuous data is audio mix automation data or MIDI data which changes smoothly over time. Audio continuous data types include volume and pan mix automation, CHANGE CONTINUOUS DAT...

Re: Need smaller increments on track automation

Perhaps what you're seeing is the tendency for DP to draw in squared off patterns when you are trying to make smooth ramps? This is sometimes easier to correct if you use the reshape tools, maybe in line mode when editing automation curves, rather than trying to edit the existing nodes. Around Page...

Need smaller increments on track automation

When I adjust the nodes of track automation it jumps by either .20 or .30. I don't know why the amount varies but that hardly matters because sometimes I want a much smaller amount. I've tried holding down shift, control, option, and command while adjusting and none of these changes the amount. Wher...

Re: Double bar lines

Screen shot would help. Just as a guess, go to the DP File menu and choose Page Setup. What is the Paper Size? DP uses this to format Quickscribe. If you change the paper size does that affect what you see? Dave I'll check when I get home (at work now). I have a screen shot but haven't been able to...

Re: Double bar lines

The only thing I've had happen that is similar (in DP 9.52) was that sometimes the barlines at the very ends of the lines (along the right side) are not touching the ends of the staves, so they are just about 1/16" or so to the right of the ends of the staves. I've not seen the doubled or ghos...

Double bar lines

I'm seeing a shadow set of bar lines in addition to the ones that are usually there. Both the darker ones that occur on the downbeat and the faint ones that are elsewhere now have duplicates. And the further I go into the song the further the shadow lines move from where the correct lines. Eventuall...

Re: direct hardware playthrough, gone? Mixer confusion

A apologize for piggybacking my question on this thread but it sounds like it might be the same issue. I'm hoping someone can verify this with a simple yes or no. If it's not the same issue I'll create a new thread for my post. My question: I'm using a UA apollo input device and the manual says to d...

Re: The wave form I'm seeing is not what I'm hearing.

I'd start by selecting the waveform in the sequence editor (or elsewhere) and hitting opt-spacebar (or is it cmd-space bar?) to play the selection. What are you hearing? Also, try closing the window with the waveform and double clicking on it in the TRACKS OVERVIEW window to refresh the view. Somet...

The wave form I'm seeing is not what I'm hearing.

This is an odd one. I have a bass part and two guitars playing an identical rhythm. What I'm hearing is correct, but the wave form I'm seeing on the first guitar track (named CBG 1) is completely wrong. In fact, there's one place where there's a gap and the bass and both guitars stop playing complet...

Re: Window questions

Thanks, I tried dragging the right edge but the notes are so short it doesn't grab hold (even though the icon to do so is present).

Is the durations command a menu item?

Re: Window questions

Oh, regarding the drum editor, I'd prefer to just use MIDI, but when I enter with a Kat drum pad the notes are so short that they are hard to see. Is there a way to lengthen all selected notes? I tried changing the duration in one of the windows without success.

Window questions

First, thanks for the previous help I have received in this forum. I have a few new questions, if you don't mind. How do I get the quantize window to stay open? Comm. 0 is temporary and closes itself as soon as I hit Apply. Why are MIDI notes sometimes encased in groups and act as a block (in the Tr...
