I just checked that on my system with 10.1 and it behaves as it always has. No extra automation dots.

No more glitches when saving while playing in 10.

I find the noise happens when there are edited tracks that have not been consolidated. Once they have been merged and unused soundbites deleted, save while playing is much smoother.

Just confirmed. A DP file from 2007 would not open in 9.52 but opened 9.02. Once saved in 9.02 it then opened in 9.52.

This has been a problem for some time with AU version of UAD plugins. VST versions I think retain preset names. UAD blames MOTU and MOTU blames UAD, no excuse for this going on for so long.

Happens randomly to me. No idea what's causing it. Wont happen for days, then a little cluster of pauses will occur.

Motu is aware of the problem and I was told via Tech Link it will be addressed in the next update. I hope that's soon.

I get the saving during playback glitch only while audio is playing, MIDI seems to be unaffected for me. I also just upgraded from Mountain Lion to Sierra and for whatever reason the glitch is now less pronounced. Go Figure.

Yes, I've noticed this glitch, saving while playing. It seems to be when audio tracks are present. I haven't noticed it with only MIDI tracks, have to check again. Other random glitches also noted.
