I've got the powerbook with 15 inch screen (1.67ghz w/ 1gig ram) and added a 20" external LCD monitor, bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse so most of the time I totally forget that I'm even using a notebook. System works great- a few CPU spikes now and then, but mixing 20 audio tracks (no MID...

Slow sequence

new 4.6 user, actually new to DP altogether. Diggin it! I'm working on a new album with 12 tunes, each their own project, and one of them is acting funny. When I hit play it takes a full 10 to 12 seconds before it actually starts playing. The trouble started after I added a few tracks which I turned...

Re: CPU SPEED ACCELERATOR

Thanks Midi-L, I had no idea. Seems like the best plan is just eliminate all extraneous programs from my system so there is nothing there to run in the background....

The heads up is highly appreciated.

new user likes altiverb, but.....

I downloaded the altiveb demo and was very impressed by its sound quality. But, loading three instances of it bogged down my system beyond what I could stand to work with. My system for my DP 4.6 is G4 Powerbook 1.67Ghz, tiger, 1 gig ram. Using motu 896HD and Mackie Control Universal. Does this seem...

dragging markers (DP 4.6)

Hi, new to DP and to this forum. The manual says one can drag markers around, but in the sequence editor I've found the only way to do this is by opening the conductor track. Ok, but when you start really zooming in the marker in the conductor track disappears. This seems so elemental to editing- bu...
