Atmosphere and Trilogy have always been AU, so there's no need for a VST wrapper with them, but for Intel Macs, you need the "PPC- wrapper"

So, unless the Spectrasonics wrappers have stopped working in SL, Trilogy and Atmosphere should work.

One thing that would have made me use the VIs more is stability. When DP5 came out, the VIs were so buggy I got too frustrated to continue working with them. If we want to do comparisons, I've never had that problem with Logic. I hope and almost believe that MOTU has done better with DP7's amp sims.

As said, this is all so subjective. Some top producers swear by bundled plugins. Not for all tasks, but some. There's pretty much the same controversy with Reason. Some seem unable to think of it as a serious pro app, but still it's used to remix Madonna, and it's regularily featured in many very pr...

They're pretty much one trick ponies, so don't expect to create diverse sounds with them. The mono bass plugin is pretty good for what it does, and polysynth was good too. They are sometimes usable for getting a specific sound, but don't expect more.

I've long felt that MOTU is just plain flaky in some areas, and I lower my expectations accordingly. For example, I think it was only recently (last couple of years) that they started sending email confirmations after you placed an order through their web site. Before that, you were left to wonder ...

Ok, now I'm really starting to get upset. I ordered the upgrade on September 11th just before I posted the announcement that MOTU has made it official. My credit card was charged on the 11th and here it is the 16th and I still have no notification. Whatever happened to first come first serve? :evil...
