Microbook 1 + Ableton CV Tools?

I’m trying to clock a Moog Grandmother using Ableton’s CV Clock Out, a Microsoft Surface, and an old MOTU Microbook 1. The Moog is not responding to the clock although the signal is there. This setup does work with my Ultralite MK3, but since the Microbook can be bus powered and is apparently also DC coupled, I could use the extra portability. Is there anything I’m doing wrong here?
