Thank You, MOTUnation

Hey, gang……
I didn’t want the last of 2023 to slip by without sending out a quick note of thanks to all of you for another year of sage advice, brilliant insights, the occasional smart-alecky comment (usually well-deserved and funny as hell), and most of all—the camaraderie and unfailing support we all get to share here. I feel lucky to be able to count on you all.

Of course, a big shout out to James, without whom, this wouldn’t exist at all.

On to 2024! :unicorn:

Let me simply add a sincere "Ditto" to the above remarks. Happy New Year, all!

PS: And if Rick is lucky, he'll have that new Mac Studio up and running before 2023 is in the past...

With yesterday’s fixes from Waves (long story) and PSP Audio, I now have enough plugins installed and authorized to reopen the sequences and tweak mixes on my jazz guitar album. As for the rest (and that’s still quite a few)… I think I can smell the end from here.

(Thanks for the encouragement!)

Well thank you all for the kind words. I appreciate that not everyone has decided to move over to a Facebook group! LOL. I appreciate the folks who come to this site. We have a lot of lurkers here and would be nice if there were more participation, but hey... just glad there are people who find this place useful. It is about as non-commercial a site as you can get. No sponsors... just lil' ol' me keeping it alive since back in the early 90s when it was UnicorNation. I actually liked that name, but after MOTU did their re-branding they weren't so hip about it, so in deference, even though they have never tried to influence this site, I took it upon myself to change the name. That said, I wish they'd bring back the unicorn logo. It had something special. Big block letters, MOTU? Not so much. Sigh.

I will also say that I'm perhaps going to try to offer a dark theme again here as an alternative. It's so frustrating trying to make everyone happy, but I'm going to try to peruse some third party themes that are on the dark side and maybe let users choose theirs if I can make things look write on both dark and light options. I tried dark in the past and got flayed by a few users who were especially unhappy and so I sell "the hell with it" and here you have the starkest, most basic theme I could find.

Oh well... onward and upward to 2024! I guess I'll have to take down my "Santa" avatar tonight! :(

You mean early naughties don't you Jimbo?

Agree 100%.

I wish they'd bring back the full name too. Nothing else out there sounds even remotely like it.

That'd be awesome James!

You know how I feel about it mate. I use the dark-theme option at Rig Talk, VI-Control, GT Planet, TGP, KVR, SoundLoop... everywhere that it's available basically.

Thank you James, and thank you everyone, for making this place what it is.

I have a handful of sites that I visit every morning with my coffee and Motunation has been one of them for as long as I can remember.

Much success to us all in 2024!
