Motu Audio Setup - channel names

Post by landman »

Hi,

I have a new macbook pro M2 Max, MacOS 14.1.1 - and Logic Pro 10.8.1 and an 828mk3Hybrid.

I used to have a 10yr old macbook - with an older version of Logic, and with an old 828mk2. In Motu Audio Setup, I could change the names of the input (and output) channels, and then in Logic these names were available (instead of input 1, input 2, input 3 ....).
But now it seems that somehowe Core Audio doesn't make the name available in Logic.

Does anybody know how I can rename the input channels?

Thx,
Mathieu

There are issues with this in Digital Performer, too. Although MOTU Support claims this was seen before Ventura, I among the many who are not so sure. I can load the same project on my MBP running Catalina and on my Studio running Sonoma and see the exact change you have described. The interface I use doesn't matter.

I would update to Sonoma 14.2. Lots of bug fixes and a few enhancements.
DP 11.31; 828mkII FW, micro lite, M4, MTP/AV USB Firmware 2.0.1
2023 Mac Studio M2 8TB, 192GB RAM, OS Sonoma 14.4.1, USB4 8TB external, M-Audio AIR 192|14, Mackie ProFxv3 6/10/12; 2012 MBPs Catalina, Mojave
IK-NI-Izotope-PSP-Garritan-Antares, LogicPro X, Finale 27.4, Dorico 5.2, Notion 6, Overture 5, TwistedWave, DSP-Q 5, SmartScore64 Pro, Toast 20 Pro
