Hi everyone,

Any recent opinions on the SSL UF8 vs Prosonus gear?

Other than the UF8 being expandable in blocks of 8 and PreSonus making a number of different controllers and interfaces, it's hard to make a comparison.

SSL uses the Cirrus Logic chip sets — so do most other companies but they and NI admit it. They are excellent so no worries there. PreSonus probably uses CL, too, but there are a number of other excellent audio chips on the market these days.

Both companies are in good shape. SSL has been expanding and Fender's been releasing new product since they acquired PreSonus last year. Other than that, SSL is generally pricier.

Explore the feature set you need. I don't see how you could go wrong either way.
