Note Name in Audio Vocal Pitch Editing

Post by JSmith1234567 »

I must be missing something, but if you are pitch editing an audio track (vocal in this case) in the sequence editor, can the note names be displayed on each note "bar" the way you can do this when editing MIDI tracks?

I actually have it turned off with MIDI notes as I find it distracting, but when I turned it on to see if you could do this with audio tracks, it doesn't seem to function for editing audio pitch?

It's kind of hard to tell what note is what when pitch editing. I move my mouse to the left side to see the note names, but it's kind of awkward/weird.

If it is possible, I'd like to turn it on just for pitch-editing audio tracks but have it off for MIDI notes?

There's a preference in MIDI Editing - Always show all note names. Check that if you haven't already. The pitch ruler appears to follow the MIDI settings.

Hey thanks!

That is what is weird...I have that checked, and it seems to work with MIDI notes, but not with the "bars" or whatever you call the things that look like MIDI notes in an audio-track's (not MIDI-track's) pitch editor lane?

I misunderstood - I thought you were referring to the vertical keyboard at the beginning of the track. If you are talking about the notes in/across the track, I haven't seen that in the pitch lane.

Hey thanks!

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some preference somewhere!
