uninstall Software instruments properly

I need to clear some space and thought I should uninstall VIs I'm not using.
How should I do this please?

Without knowing what instruments you’re talking about it might be hard to give an exact answer. I know many virtual instruments have their own installer applications, and if you look there is often an uninstall option. Sometimes too, they may have an uninstaller app/script in the applications folder. It’s often nested in a folder named after the developer.

Barring that, you could just go into the plug-ins folder and select it and delete it and if there are associated samples you could delete those too. A dedicated UnInstaller is a much more elegant solution and I wish more developers would include them.

I consolidate Sample drive, add, remove etc. often as my needs grow or libraries become obsolete.

Normally, Copy, Paste & Delete are all you need. The trick is getting DP to find the new location for anything you've moved. As James mentioned, those VIs with installer apps make that easier but we were all doing it long before those existed.
