Hasn’t there always been a crossgrade? That’s how I got it. Send Magic Dave a copy of the first page of the Cubase manual.

I think Magic Dave retired from MOTU. He was active on this forum for awhile afterwards. Seems like it was about a year or year and a half ago...

I think bayswater made a typo and meant "sent" instead of "send." And yep, Magic Dave left MOTU some years ago. I actually got to go see a Red Sox game with Les Quindipan and him a few years back when I was in Boston on business. Both of them great guys and missed.

I see that the Upgrade Price from Performer Lite is now $195, also. I'll see if I can get some of my people off the stick. "Is it cheap enough now? Huh?"

The inability to create User Templates in PL is good enough for me but having the Waveform Editor would certainly make a big difference for a few. Hmmmm... perhaps if I charged $200 each time I have to straighten out the mess cause by multiple projects in a single Project Folder, that would get them to bite.

Yes, I did mean "sent". It was a long time ago. I ordered a crossgrade for DP4 from Cubase SX3, and was sent DP 5. Dave said I was supposed to send in the first page of the manual as proof I had Cubase, but he said to just send a picture of it. Life was easier then. Pretty sure I didn't pay $395.

And MOTU is pretty easy with who can get Lite.

I don't think the template thing is that big. You can save as stationary and get more or less the same result. The limits to track counts is a lot more significant for me. But then, I can't find any advantage that Lite has over DP. Doesn't seem more efficient for small projects.
