Music file recognition/matching app

I have a huge bin of untitled (/unnamed) music from a client, some of which is on my own studio computer, and some not.

Does anyone know if there's a software that will "listen" to the music in the bin and then find the corresponding music file (Aif) on my own hard drive?

I'm basically looking for a "Shazam" but for unreleased music that will then find the same file on my computer...

Thanks!

Seems like a cool and relatively harmless application of AI. Nice idea, "Home Shazam".

More of a Find Any File for audio markers rather than text. Which is what Shazam! does. Since Apple owns it now, I wonder why they haven’t done this already. Hmmmm… I’ll send an email to Tim Cook.

It shouldn’t be hard to do and AI is the likely tool — if one has the time. Ahhh that… Putting it on my calendar for January.

I’ve followed Shazam! since it was a telephone service offered by British Telecom—call a number, play the music and it would search. When BMI bought it to listen to the internet, they offered it as a free app and you could follow links to purchase. This caused a problem because the links were not limited to BMI exclusive songs. The resulting revenue stream made it profitable—big oops! for a non-profit under a Consent Decree—so they sold it in 2012 per their annual report (yea, I used to read those).
