Please forgive my ignorance.
When you create an aggregate device a Subdevices window appears. Does this window do anything or is it just informational? You can change the names of the inputs and outputs here but they don't show up that way in DP.

Re: Aggregate device question
The window is created in Audio MIDI Setup.app and that's where you configure your Aggregate Device and give it a name. You can create as many as you need. I haven't set up the one for my Studio that I created on my iMac Pro which is why it looks like the disorganized mess that it is.Phil O wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 12:22 pm Please forgive my ignorance.

DP shows only the name(s). Note that I have Follow System Audio Settings unchecked.

Re: Aggregate device question
Thanks, Mike. I was talking about the black area with subdevices as a heading (shows up only on aggregate devices):
You can click on the input and output names and change them but they don't show up that way in DP. Just "Aggregate Device 1", etc. or "To Computer 1", etc. So does this section actually do anything other than display in/out?
