[SOLVED] DP 11.21 not receiving audio from Metric Halo MIOConsole

Post by Visconte Cobram »

EDIT: SOLVED
It was just a matter of telling MacOs to give access to the "microphone" to DP in the privacy preferences.

DUH

Hi all,
It's been a while since the last time I posted.
All was good until I upgraded from 11.01 to 11.21
Now DP does not receive any audio from my interfaces.
In the Metric Halo management app MIOConsole I create an input track and assign its output to an inter-app bus,
I then select that bus in DP as the input to an audio track
I record arm the track but no activity is shown in the audio monitor window.
Recording confirms that there is no audio passing from the MIOConsole.

To be clear, the same steps work as expected in DP11.01 and other apps such as my Kyma system and Izotope RX.

Is anyone here usinh Metric Halo interfaces and having this kind of behavior with DP11.21?

Thanks!

Using DP11.21 on a 2015 MacPro with OS10.15.7
2x Metric Halo 2882 3d interfaces

Don’t know this issue but 11.22 was a major bug fix. 11.23 was released recently but only addresses a few Sonoma issues.

I would update DP first, then see what happens.

We all forget that one. Thanks for reporting back.

I still recommend updating to 11.22 (or 11.23 if planning an update to Sonoma). Lots of bug fixes from 11.21.

That issue stymied a lot of us in the beginning! Used to be you didn't get any notification from DP that it needed to be enabled if I recall correctly. Glad you got it worked out.
