adding a 3rd MIDI Timepiece

Post by tuelles »

I have been using a MIDI Timepiece II connected to a MTP-AV USB (to the Mac) for 16 in and out successfully for years. They are interconnected via the units' Net ports with a DIN-8 serial cable. How/where do I add a 3rd MTP? Does it connect from the Thru/Printer out of the MTP II to the 3rd MTP's network port? Or?

Thanks!

Pretty sure you can only do Net Port to Net Port? Don't think printer port will work. Might be the only thing you can do is find another USB MTP?

There are a few ways to to this on a Mac. See CHAPTER 3 Installing Multiple Interfaces page 19.

Do you know if another MTP-AV USB device will be seen in ClockWorks, and I will be able to route between the 3 TimePieces? Thanks!
