You could try an uninstall, then check for greyed out MOTU devices (only this time take the attempt to uninstall drivers option) and then reinstall. It's most likely a Windows Audio issue if the ASIO drivers are still working. I suppose there's a risk of losing ASIO also on an uninstall/reinstall, but hey ??? A work around that a lot of PT guys use is to use their onboard sound for the system and run a cable from that to the main interface (828x). You burn an input pair, but it cleanly separates the two drivers. Windows audio can be challenging at times.

yeah, might have to do the uninstall reinstall. just hope it doesn't screw the cubase thing up as it took me song long to set that up.


antoerh thing, as there's no sound anywhere else but cubase, I get metering from the rack unit with cubase, but no metering from the rack unit nor cuemix from anything else. Didn't know if this was important or not.
