Antares Harmony Engine Evo

Post by elarue »

Does anyone have experience using Antares Harmony Engine with DP? I just purchased it and am trying to load it in, but every time I scan it, it says "Failed." How do I work around this issue?

Not enough information. What version of DP? What MacOS? Have you installed the latest CodeMeter Run Time?

DP 11 on MacOS Monterey. I don't know about CodeMeter - where is it and how do I install it?

Antares uses CodeMeter from Wibu for licensing. You must install a CodeMeter run time to activate your license. The instructions on Antares site are a bit confusing but they do work.

Antares does not always have the latest version on their site — this has caused me major grief in the past. Once you are properly licensed, you can download and install the latest version here:

Okay, I found Codemeter through a Google search, but I wasn't sure how it worked, so I didn't install right away. Once I saw what it was, I thought maybe it was something that DP used. I had activated my license through Auto-Tune Central thinking that was sufficient, but maybe it wasn't. I'll install the latest Codemeter and see if that does the trick.

Okay, installing the latest Codemeter did not do the trick. Not sure if I need to do a clean install of Harmony Engine now or if there's still another lingering issue.

Other than referring you to Antares, I don't know. It does work for my in DP 11 over Ventura. They used to use iLok but I think they switched back in 2017 otr so.

Shot in the dark, but try launching DP in Rosetta and then rescan the plugin. Sometimes that works.

Okay, dumb question. What do you mean by "launch DP in Rosetta?"

Yeah, I submitted a ticket with them, and all they recommended was to do a clean install. I told them that didn't work, and then, crickets.

Every owner of an Apple Silicon Mac needs to know this one.

Run Get Info on DP. You’ll see a box that, when checked, opens the app over Rosetta 2.

Ah, that's why I don't know anything about this. My MBP is from 2019 and still has an Intel chip. I did look for the box you mentioned and didn't see it there, but if it requires Apple Silicon, that might be why.
