Where is my fader?

What have I done wrong?

Looks like that track is Disabled.

Re-enable in the Tracks Window... make sure your Tracks Window is displaying Enable button to access.

Thanks HCMarkus,

track is enabled, but I found it: track type is AUX, and as long as it doesn't have an input assigned to it there is no fader. Still learning...

You found the second most common reason... Good job!

Here's a related tip: Make sure Aux Tracks are Solo Exempt (set this per-track in Tracks Window) or you may get unexpected results when using Solo.
