Daisy chained firewire 8pre's, cannot see tracks on second device

Post by fat_fleet »

Hi there. I just switched to a new Windows machine running Windows 10. I use Reaper with two firewire 8pre's lightpiped together. I've been using this setup about 13 years across several computers.

For this new machine, I downloaded the most recent Motu ASIO driver from their site. Normally, I see all 16 tracks as follows:

Analog 1
Analog 2
Analog 3
Analog 4
Analog 5
Analog 6
Analog 7
Analog 8
ADAT 1
ADAT 2
ADAT 3
ADAT 4
ADAT 5
ADAT 6
ADAT 7
ADAT 8

where the Analog inputs correspond to the "Interface" device and the ADAT inputs to the "converter" device. For some reason, using the most recent driver, only the Analog inputs are showing up.. nothing on the "converter" device:

Analog 1
Analog 2
Analog 3
Analog 4
Analog 5
Analog 6
Analog 7
Analog 8

They are both connected correctly, the same way they have been for the last 13 years, and appear to sync with each other normally when I power them on. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I can do to get my inputs back??
