Mouse problems with DP 11.22

Hello to everyone! Why does my mouse pointer disappear unless I am on a track? Outside the tracks I only see a very small, almost invisible cross, and so it is impossible to work. Thanks for your help

Sounds like a switch in your mouse may be stuck. I'd try another mouse.

It sounds to me as if you accidentally invoked a DP editing mode. Tap letter a on your keyboard twice. Does that change anything?

This has been happening to me regularly in 11.21 on my Intel machine running Monterey and using a trackpad. I sent a ticket into MOTU and they mentioned it had been reported in Catalina, but not Monterey. If I click into another app (like just on the desktop) and come back to DP, it works fine again. (I'm also seeing it in Finale, but no where else.)

This bears watching.

I see a cross hair everywhere unless the mouse is hovering over an object -- a MIDI Note or an Audio Region, etc. Then the mouse appears as a hand if the object is selected, or a normal mouse arrow if it isn't. But the cross hair is the same size as the other images so it's easy to see, at least in macOS 10.13 and 10.14 with DP 11.22.

Didn't there used to be a preference or setting to control whether the mouse would change images depending on what DP thought you might be trying to do? That seems to be a permanent state now.

I have seen that with certain themes. Switch to some differnent ones and see if another alters it for you.

Some have gone into the DP package contents and edited some of the images, notably the previously invisible velocity marks that were invisible on 2K+ monitors.

When I lose the mouse cursor (which happens mostly when I'm at my piano, and the monitor I use there is awkwardly placed) I grab the mouse and move it left and right vigorously for a second or two. The operating system uses that as a cue to temporarily enlarge the cursor to make it easy to see where it is.

With the default theme the croc is more visible, much better than a clearer theme
