Ugritone Drums now AS-native, but installation warning!

Post by James Steele »

There's a funky little drum VI called Ugritone Drums. I got it on a special somewhere. It has various kits, etc. Anyway it appears the plug-in was *silently* updated and this version 3.0.15 now runs natively on Apple Silicon.

You can get the installer by going into your user account, clicking on a previous order and using the download link.

THERE IS ONE PROBLEM, HOWEVER. Like some of the Native Instruments installers, if you have the previous non-AS-native version of the plug-installed, it will not be properly overwritten by the installer and will not run natively. Instantiating the plugin will cause MacOS to launch the AUHostingCompatibilityService process.

The solution is to delete the older "Ugritone Drums.component" file in the Finder BEFORE running the new installer. It will then be installed properly and run natively.
