First time I've sever seen this, seems to be related to one chunk of a specific session.
The very beginning of audio (fractions of a second) is missing in a bounce, and there's ample fade up space before the beginning of audio in the selected bounce area. The bounce file is the proper length, it's just muted at the beginning, then comes in as a hard cut in the middle of the waveform.
If I select back 2 seconds before the start of any audio for the bounce, it comes out the same, just with 2 seconds additional silence. If I select back 10 seconds, I get what I expect.
