Sweetwater keeps a list. Others probably do as well. Googling audio plugin compatibility ventura gives you a list

I know one of the definite things to look out for is that bouncing to a QT movie in DP in Ventura is broken.

No, it’s all of CoreAudio, including AAC, mp3, and the other non-native or compressed formats. Those don’t bother me much, since I can bounce as WAV and then use Apple Compressor if I need to email a draft in a compressed format. Movies are more of a pain.

Yes, you can bring the audio clip into video software and export movies from there, but you need to have a way to re-establish the sync.

I kept my old iMac, which is still running Catalina, and I walk a portable drive over to it. Other than waiting for disc copy times, it’s a reasonable stop-gap until the issue is sorted at Apple and Motu.

Hopefully the Core Audio issue gets resolved quickly!

Yikes, that's a showstopper for me! Thanks for pointing it out, as I might not have noticed if searching primarily for specific plug-in compatibility! Hopefully the Core Audio issue gets resolved quickly!

Sweetwater's list stays bookmarked in my browser for two adjacent releases; the current one I have installed, and the latest one that I'm still too scared to upgrade to. :-)

I'm not always convinced it is all that up to date, but I think they might depend on public announcements from vendors vs. direct testing at their end. This makes sense, as the latter might imply some liability, as they sell plug-ins.

I would love to see this fixed also. My Late 2012 Mini has served me well, but it's days are numbered- I'm eyeing a M2 Mini, and will pull the trigger soon after this gets sorted out.

You’ve probably seen the other posts a about this, but if you get the M2 Mini, make sure to get more than the 256GB internal storage. The read/write speeds are much slower than 512GB and higher.

I did see that- thank you for the reminder, James! I may go with the 1TB storage, just to have some breathing room. And a minimum of 16 GB RAM, of course! Now I just have to choose between the M2 or the M2 Pro processor- decisions, decisions...

Yep... most people who are going to use a Mac for a DAW would probably opt for larger internal drive anyway, but just wanted to make sure. Fortunately there are more and more video comparisons on YouTube coming out every day on these newer M2 models.

Some might get the impression that this is Ventura on Apple Silicon (M1, M2) — not correct. Ventura over Intel is the same.
