Again, it's fine on Mojave on the Mac Pro with a Sonnet USB3 PCIe card installed, well, except for the whole not showing up at start, unplug and plug back in thing..
Mojave was the OS when I bought that thing and other units. I was hopeful since I was having this issue over USB 2 on my 2010 iMac and now I had TB3/USB-C ports.

My iMac Pro has a Mojave boot drive in the TB2 dock so I can test both ways with a SATA III SSD in a 3.1 drive dock into that hub. This will be interesting.

I upgraded my MacPro7,1 to OS 12.5 last week, which caused constant crashes in DP 10. I paid the $199 ransom to get DP 11, and that fixed 99% of the crashing (so far).

I just updated to 12.5.1 with no trauma, but when I first booted up today I got a warning that my MOTU system extensions could stop being supported soon. I expect a MOTU update soonish?

I just updated, too. So far no issues. I didn't get the message you got, but then I don't have a MOTU interface connected right now, so that would be why.

I’ve been seeing that with every installation of anything MOTU on my M1 MacBook Air.

I just ran the 12.5.1 updater this afternoon, as I got quite scared by the vulnerability reports today (I also updated my iPhone). I had a package to mail, so let the updaters run while I walked to the post office. It took about 90 minutes vs. the usual four to five hours, but after all, it's just a small point release.

Even though this update is about security, things seem snappier now.

Why the hell not. Let’s see what happens. Just make sure I do a Time Machine backup first.

Yea, security updates, possibly prep for the next OS. If you have Time Machine on, you can restore your System drive to an earlier state within the last 24 hours—takes a minute or two.

I always let the last backup complete and note the time before software updates or major installs so that I know which Snapshot I should use to restore.

I just updated to 12.6. So far everything seems fine. Loaded a couple of DP projects, etc. and looks good.

Funny, I just updated to 12.5.1 (from 12.4) yesterday! So I won't get too comfortable here.

Took a while for me. I did notice some strange behavior in the Mail app after the update where I had to force quite Mail a couple of times when my mouse cursor became a little "envelope icon" when when you're moving an email to a different box or something and I couldn't get it to go away otherwise. Hope that settles down next day or two.

UPDATE: Not a mail thing. Just now tried to drag a app from the dock to the desktop in order to remove it from the dock and it was "stuck" on my mouse cursor. Couldn't get rid of unless I went up to the menu bar and clicked there. I restarted and okay. Maybe something going on with USB Overdrive? Who knows. Keeping an eye on it, but otherwise all seems fine.

I just tried dragging a few icons off the dock, and everything behaves normally here.

Yeah... it's probably nothing. And it may have settled in. Could be an interaction with my third party mouse driver, or again one of those weird things that goes away on it's own. Hasn't been too big a deal. But everything seems to be working fine.
