No worries. Didn't mean to sound harsh. It's just that I can do a mass deletion of those posts all with one command, but if there are replies, those topics don't delete and have to do it manually. Thanks!

I'm continuing to try and solve the spam problem (in terms of me not having to be as vigilant to delete it). Asking a verification question hasn't seemed to do the trick, so I'm using reCAPTCHA in combination with me having to manually approve users. It may mean access to posting isn't immediate as it used to be, but can't really figure out a different way to do it for now.

Yeah... that doesn't work. Plus many people won't know it. Believe me... I've tried various questions like the acronym for MIDI, etc. and I don't know if these spammers have sweatshops where humans get paid to look this stuff up, but I'm going to have to manually approve for now until I have an opportunity [sarcasm]in my copious amount of spare time[/sarcasm] to investigate a better solution. This is my unpaid side job.

James, we've had a shedload of CBD-gummie spammers over at Rig Talk of late.

Between myself and an American dude we zap those suckers manually every 12 hours.

Peeps have complained (of course) about threads appearing temporarily so we've asked the boss to look into the possibility of preventing new members from posting URLs until they've hit a certain (as-yet-undetermined) number of posts.

As I suggested, we don't know if this is possible with the board software over there, but it's not phpBB so I'm thinking you might just be lucky-enough to be able to do this here.

The thinking goes that every post the spammers make contains at least one link.
