Two Tracks Still in Record with Multi-Record Turned off?
I'm noticing some strange (or at least different!) behavior with 11.x.
I have multi-record turned off (I only use it when I'm tracking large ensembles, otherwise I always have it turned off), but I noticed that I have both an audio track and a MIDI track record-enabled at the same time?
It used to be if multi-record is turned off, only one track of any type can be record-enabled at a time.
I'm afraid I'll not notice that and keep recording over audio tracks by mistake when I'm recording MIDI tracks?
Is anyone else seeing this?

I think this is normal behavior for DP, at least for DP 9.12 which I use. I can record-enable one audio track and one MIDI track simultaneously, even when multi-record is off.

Multi-Record is just a MIDI thing, isn’t it? I never thought about it having anything to do with audio tracks.

Confirmed. Multi-record only affects MIDI. Audio is independent, and doesn't require multi-record because it does not have an "omni" option.

This is weir to me though?
I saw the above post from Tidswell that this is the behavior they are seeing in DP 9, but DP 9.52 did not work that way for me?
I made the jump from 9.52 to 11 (now .04), and I don't remember it doing that in 9.52, so I'm guessing I had some weird preference checked in 9.52 that caused this behavior.
Still it's disconcerting, as yesterday I went to print a mix, then stopped to change some of the levels in MIDI, then back to trying to print the mix, but saw that I had printed all of these audio tracks on the 2-mix by mistake.

Yep... and obviously there's many times you want to record multiple audio tracks at once. I get in the habit myself of always immediately taking audio tracks out of record-enable once I'm done recording to them. This prevents inconvenient accidents!stubbsonic wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 10:05 amConfirmed. Multi-record only affects MIDI. Re: Two Tracks Still in Record with Multi-Record Turned off?
Multi record in the studio menu only affects MIDI tracks, but I seem to remember a preference item "Multi record always on for audio tracks" (or something to that effect)... I'm not in front of DP right now, but I'm pretty sure it's there in Preferences.

Confirmed. It's under Play And Record/Audio Options
I'm glad I searched for it, because I found and was able to turn off "snap the wiper to the edit grid" Pheew.
