new user questions on noise and volume

just got M2 today, having two questions

1. is it normal that windows 10's volume being set to 100% by default otherwise the volume out of M2 is extremely low

2. I connected my synth to M2 via ts cables, when I turned the mon button on, there are some loud noise if you turn the headphone volume knob on M2 to high, is there a way to eliminate these noise?
