This is great. Thx! ...a list of what's not compatible could be more helpful at this point. Off the top of my head MAS VEP isn't possible yet. VSL says VEP M1 native compatibility will come sometime after their transition to iLok. Hopefully the M1 native MAS VEP will show up then too.

And of course some of us are also wondering about Monterey compatibility. Here's one for that (spoiler alert. not many as of today): https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/monter ... ty-chart-1

The only plug in I see of theirs that’s Apple Silicon ready is the new saturater. Which of course I don’t own, all the ones i own flatly state Mac OS Intel.

Besides Saturator, InfiniStrip WIND, PianoVerb and VintageWarmer2 also support Apple Silicon. There may be others that do but these show up on my Downloads page. One has to drill down into the actual System Requirements to see it.

Apparently, I bought InfiniStrip WIND so I can buy Saturator under $21. Hmmmm… not something I can see myself using. Maybe…

Unfortunately, this KVR list is pretty out of date at this point, as is the ProTools Expert Monterey list. Any others out there? I can find none.

I'd applaud any effort here to make a comprehensive list of AS native/Monterey-compatible plugins, but given that KVR and ProTools Experts', presumably, paid staffers can't create and/or maintain one that's not a kludgy near-useless mess makes me think it would be tough.

The KVR list link above is a user-maintained list that, while updated a couple days ago, seems to include a lot of misinformation and omissions. The official KVR plugins list is also full of information holes.

A list of the biggies for many DP users not available might be easier to tackle. No.1 for me being the MAS VEP plugin. My reading of the tealeaves is that it won't be available anytime soon (ever?). There's plenty of VEP users (most) that don't use the MAS version, but I'd sure miss its unique and elegant implementation.

So crucial plugins/instruments etc. not working with AS (native or Rosetta2) and/or Monterey, or MIA for me are:

[EDITED 12/4/21]
- MAS VEP. VEP is broken in Rosetta2 with Monterey too. [Now Monterey compatible]
- GRM suite.
- Soundtoys! Not working in Monterey reportedly. [only for some users - many are not having issues with Monterey]
- ProSoundEffects Search and SoundQ database apps

Any other must-have plugins etc. out there? I'm sure I'm missing a lot of them.

I bit the bullet and bought an M1 Mac Mini. Everything here is working fine with Big Sur/DP. I had to install Rosetta for my old HP LaserJet printer driver, so I don't know what's using Rosetta and what isn't. Can plugins use Rosetta independently of the host DAW?

Anyway, working plugins that I've tested so far:

All UAD plugins (that I have) except Dreamverb.
FabFilter Pro MB, Pro Q3, Pro R
All Melda Production (that I have)
Valhala Delay, SpaceModulator, Supermassive
iZotope Ozone, RX
DP 11.32, 2020 M1 Mac Mini [9,1] (16 Gig RAM), Mac Pro 3GHz 8 core [6,1] (16 Gig RAM), OS 14.6.1/11.6.2, Lynx Aurora (n) 8tb, MOTU 8pre-es, MOTU M6, MOTU 828, Apogee Rosetta 800, UAD-2 Satellite, a truckload of outboard gear and plug-ins, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Yes, plugins can use Rosetta independently. I've read where developers have said there was effectively no difference between the performance of the Rosetta versions of their plugins and the native - which speaks to how well thought out Rosetta 2 is I guess. Indeed, Monterey seems to be more of an issue than AS in terms of compatibility.

Glad to see all this is working for you. Which version of RX do you have?
