Backblaze and Data Streaming Rate

Post by primeevolutionary »

I purchased a subscription to Backblaze and started backing up on September 5th. I received a notice on September 15th that I've exceed my plan's allowable data GBs for the month. I can see that I racked up a quick 1,278 GB uploading in that ten days.

Is this just the initial data upload and once I am uploaded, it will go back down to normal usage as it only uploads changes afterwards, or, do I need to increase my monthly data?

This is temporary, until all drives are backed up.

It seems that if you re-name a drive, it will not be recognized, so will back up again (unless the data is already backed up - my understanding is BackBlaze automatically does not back up duplicates, just links to them. I may not be accurate here. More info on the BackBlaze website.)
