Help getting new Faderport to work with DP11 [RESOLVED]
Apologizes if this is the wrong forum. I've been trying to get what control surfaces I own to work with DP 11 and have added a Faderport 2 to try out. The only big thing I can't figure out (and maybe it's impossible) is for it to change tracks. Right now it seems to be "stuck" on the first one in the channel list. I can't manually scroll to other tracks and have tried every MCU/MCU compatible combination I can think of. Anyone getting this work well in DP 11 (or even DP 10 for that matter)?

Have you switched the Faderport operating mode to either MCU or HUI? It's kinda buried in the manual, but my FP2 came with an extra sheet of paper that showed how: hold down the "Next" key while powering up, wait for buttons to start flashing, then pick a mode.
Mute = MCU Logic
Arm = MCU Ableton
Bypass = MCU Cubase
Touch = HUI ProTools
I haven't tested every function, but with DP10 on my system, MCU or HUI allow changing channel focus with the Prev/Next buttons.

Yes, I'm switching all those and trying them out. I couldn't get either dp10 or 11 to work in any mode but will keep trying.tremo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 12:07 pm Have you switched the Faderport operating mode to either MCU or HUI? Huh. And you're able to select Presonus FP-2 in Setup/Control Surface Setup?

Re: Help getting new Faderport to work with DP11
I’ve gotten the FP2 to work in DP11 except for the issue that it doesn’t follow track selection. So, it’s super tedious selecting the track you want to adjust. Is there a setting in DP I don’t know about that gives me this ability (Logic has a pref for this)? The Faderport, which works great in DP10, follows selection like a champ.

Hi Dave
I just got a FaderPort 16 and can only work 8 chs at a time...I assume this a driver limitation in HUI mode?

With a one channel controller, you need to scroll to the bank, then scroll to the track. I won't just follow the selected track. At least that's the way it worked for me. I got rid of my X-Touch One for an X-Touch Universal and X-Touch expander. It works so much better.
With a 16 channel controller, you probably need to set up two devices, a main and an expander.

My Faderport (the current model) has worked flawlessly with DP11. Check out the setup videos at https://motu.com/en-us/products/software/dp/videos/. After I set it up, it just worked.

Re: Help getting new Faderport to work with DP11
This worked for me:
I set my Faderport 16 to Logic
IN DP control surface
Driver Mackie Control
Unit Mackie Control input PresonusFP16-1 output PresonusFP16
add second unit
Expander XT input MIDIIN2(PresonusFP16) output MIDIIN2(PresonusFP16)
Took a while to figure this out trial and error, but seems to work fine
Let me know if works for you

Re: Help getting new Faderport to work with DP11
That worked CopyRon ! I am actually using MacStudio machine. This was helpful....at some point I should probably get another FaderPort16 to bump up to 32 tracks.
Thank you
