As suggested above by Gravity Jim, I made an offer on a pretty clean pair of 20/20bas V3 monitors. I ended up losing that auction. So, I figured it was fate and decided to procure the ADAM T10S subwoofer to use with my current monitors.
I picked the T10S, since it had some nice options. The one I really liked was the ability to bypass the subwoofer with a footswitch. Not sure how often I will use it; but I like the option of disabling the sub to see how the mix sounds without the extended bass provided by the subwoofer was enticing-- and didn't require a separate controller/crossover.
I still need to calibrate it with my monitors, however, I like that the subwoofer is 'musical'. As you turn up the subwoofer gain, it doesn't rapidly go from restrained to all out thump. You really have to ' crank the gain' to get 'thump' (but it is still clean). You can really control the bass level which is what I wanted.
