Big Sur: Compatibility Guide

Post by Bobbyd »

Sweetwater appears to be keeping this list updated. So far most manufacturers are saying, "Wait to upgrade, check back later." A few say "limited compatibility".

According to this, Fabfilter and RME are the only companies ready.

Sweetwater's list is not up to date. But you might find it helpful as a repository of links to developers' compatibility pages.

Examples:

I clicked on the link for iZotope, and it says "iZotope products have been updated to support macOS 11 Big Sur on Intel-based Macs only. "

Likewise with Native Instruments.

I keep checking MOTU. Hasn't been updated since the end of January. I hope they can roll it out soon.

That list is outdated to the point of being useless. Many of the links are broken or point to old pages.

I know I'm late to the party, but NO MIDI...? Will this eventually involve buying a new interface to replace my MTP? Sounds like it. Whatever, let's get to it!

Someone has posted how to do it in Big Sur — it's an installer issue — but I can't find it at the moment.
