Adjust Bite Gain Add/Subtract

Post by Prime Mover »

This is something that's plagued me from time to time. I like to use Bite Gain because it changes the waveform visually, and is less finicky than the Bite Volume if I need to change an entire clip. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a away to select a bunch of clips and adjust them relatively up/down. I can SET a bunch of clips to a particular bite gain, but not add/subtracted. Does anyone know of a way of doing this?

Saw this post and decided to take a look. Understand and agree with your issue - no apparent solution. DP needs to extend its option/cmd/shift/adjust whatever parameters selected to be more in line with other apps. Sometimes I think we're still stuck in the ctrl-click vs right-click legacy Mac thing.

Although not always appropriate, in many situations Merge then Adjust will work.

I agree, that's my normal workaround as well but Motu should allow you to do this without merging the soundbites.

Yes, it seems like an oversight that all selected soundbites bite gains’ can’t be adjusted at once with the gain fader.

Btw Bite Volume on multiple selected sound bites can be adjusted with a key command, but the waveforms won’t reflect it.
