DP 10.11 not loading Steinberg PadShop 2 (VST3)

When I have DP10.11 (Mac... Catalina) scan my PadShop 2 (Steinberg) plugin ... it "passes inspection" according to the plugin management page in Preferences. However, each time I assign PadShop 2 to a track... I get a crash error and the program shuts down. I also noticed that ALL my VST3 plugin versions failed inspection EXCEPT PadShop... which of course crashes.

What is the deal with VST3 and DP10.11? Many thanks for any input. I have contacted Steinberg and they are attempting to troubleshoot PadShop 2...

Why do you open Padshop in VST3 format on MacOS platform?. I can successfully use Groove Agent and Halion in AU format. I have seen problems with plugins in vst3 format in DP (Mac OS)

Thanks! I just notice on the MOTU website that DP 10 (10.11) is supposed to support VST3. Strange that PadShop 2 "passes" the inspection in VST3... then crashes DP when I try to assign it as an instrument. Strange also that other Plugins (Eventide) "fail" VST3 examination in DP but work fine as VST2.

I would certainly be asking Steinberg Support if this should work with DP and if they say, Yes, contact MOTU Support (we are a Users Group and not affiliated with MOTU).
