DP 10 Windows to Mac project sharing

Post by arsis »

Hey guys,
Please forgive me if this topic has been discussed to death (I'm paralyzed and I control my computer with my eyes. My search on the topic was admittedly brief).
I need to share projects with a friend. I'm on Windows, he's on a Mac. What is the best way to share complete projects back and forth? All DP plug-ins and instruments. No 3rd party.
Thanks so much.

When I tried out the initial Windows version, all I did was zip the project folder on one computer, copy it over, and unzip it on the other.

What Bays says.

It's important to zip the project folder first before uploading to Dropbox, GoogleDrive, sneakernet or however you intend to move it. Unzipping on the recipient's work station will grant you/your friend the proper privileges and permissions necessary to work the file.

It's best if both of you are using the same version of DP, of course.

I just couldn't fathom that it would be that easy. I don't have a Mac anymore (gasp) so I can't try it myself. I sent him the zipped project and I'm waiting to hear from him.
Thanks so much.

Thanks! I was hoping it would be easy. I just knew it was going to be a pita.
