MachFive3 on Catalina?

Post by taka »

Hello--

As London UK has gone into Corona semi-lockdown, I'm using this time to finally go Catalina.
Clean install and all, which I haven't done since... 10.5 or 6 era ;-)

Does MachFive 3.2.1 work with Catalina (incl. installer)??

Thanks -!

I think I ran the installer in Mojave but MachFive 3 does run on my Catalina test machine. In addition, the UVI Player 3 is able to access and load those instruments into DP 10 when the iLok is plugged in. The DP sounds library shows up in the UVI browser as well.

Thank you for the replies :-)

Initially the installer I downloaded from MOTU site didn't work, so I'd contacted tech support & they sent me another installer which worked on Catalina-

When I use M5 on Catalina, it seems to overload CPU when I'm recording MIDI in real time; creating lots of CPU spikes.. I'm not filtering any MIDI data at the moment, so I'll try filtering them down to bare minimum and see what happens--

And yes I'm also using UVI Player, when I'm only using preset sounds, it's lighter and works very well--
