I wrote to them as follows:
…which means absolutely NOTHING to LA composers until you restore the movie window. The current workaround is unusable and NO ONE working in film in LA will be updating.

Get a clue!

Great minds think alike, Buzz. I thought exactly the same thing when I got the email.

There are so many complaints about performance on 4K and 5K monitors, Mac and Win that, if those aren’t addressed, thy needn’t bother.

Yes, I thought about the Movie Winow, too.

They have a history of fixing one or two problems and introducing a bunch of new features or feature changes, and the long list of bugs slowly (very slowly) gets addressed, resulting in a program with lots of old bugs and a few new ones. I think the only reason they're still in business is that they're the only game in town. I would have switched long ago had there been a viable alternative. JMHO

Actually it is/was a great app imo. Just like svp was. I’m just waiting for Gibson or Avid or someone to come kill it. I wish MOTU had the resources and skilled programmers to blow it out of the water.

And I agree. It's just that MakeMusic keeps missing their chance to make it great AND fun to use, bug free, etc., etc.

That would indeed be wonderful-- especially with the ability to integrate either in DP or beside it.

The Dorico MIDI editor kind of gave me a hint of it.

How is Dorico coming along? Is it ready for prime time yet?

On another note - I've been trying to find alternatives for Adobe stuff and I'm finally happy with Affinity Designer (drawing program) and patiently waiting for them to release their page layout alternative to InDesign reportedly called Affinity Publisher.
