I'm afraid the only people that might be able to help you is MOTU. I'd contact them directly, but it's likely they may not have any more. I suppose you could try eBay and if you can't find a separate one, you'd probably have to buy a unit that already has that ROM maybe? A call to MOTU is still the first thing I'd try.

there is also the option that if any of us on the forum has a good will to extract it from your device and copy it. it would help so many who have a problem like me.

There have been many requests for this over the years but no one has ever reported success. The MTP AV USB, XT USB and a couple others all used the same one.

According to MOTU, I bought the very last 2.0.1 upgrade chip they had in 2012, a couple of days after they disappeared from the web site.

James’s suggestion is the only practical one I know. Buy a unit that has the 2.0.1 firmware chip. Feel free to contact me back channel about my MTP AV USB if you like.

Hey, if successful in cloning it, you can resell the one you bought.

Certainly someone can make a copy of the eprom with version 2.0.1 and send the data in the mail. I'm willing to pay. I have the conditions to program a new one, only i need to have data from the original.

I have eporm with version 2.0.1, but I have a new problem. I need USB ROM 1.32. If someone needs a copy of eporm 2.0.1, I'll make it for free, but I would love to be someone like me and if so, make a copy of USB ROM 1.32. We could help each other.

If you bought the upgrade kit in 2006–12, you got both. At least I did. In my case, my MTP-AV USB had the USB 1.32 chip already so I had sold the spare in 2013 or so.

If I asked you to copy USB ROM 1.32, would you do that?

Hey,

I've just picked up an express XT and am slowly learning that it's unlikely I'll get it to work with my PC.
The two chips I have inside are the XT USB 2.0.0 and an XT 1.1.

Which ROMs would I need to get this unit as up to date as possible?

If I buy a device that has a USB 1.32 chip, I'll copy it and share it for free if someone needs it. I do not understand how people do not want to be able to help others, but they only look at their own interests. Let's copy the chip itself and set the price, I'm sure many would pay for it.

Apparently, you don’t understand that most of us do not have the ability to copy the chip despite your continued whining on the subject. I live in the middle of the Silicon Valley and don’t know anyone with the required hardware and am not spending the $600–$5,000 to acquire it. Neither am I sending my chips to Croatia so that you can copy them.
