Wallander (WIVI) now for all three major notation programs

Version 3 of the award winning NotePerformer for Sibelius has just been released including many enhancements. But more great news: From version 3 NotePerformer 3 is supporting also FINALE (2014 and later) and Steinberg´s latest release of Dorico Pro 2. So for the first time Finale and Dorico users get the possibility of integrating this great sounding full orchestral sound library directly.

Registered users will get the update through Wallander Instruments directly.

I haven't yet checked for loyalty discounts. I had tagged the older version years ago but didn't bother as I don't use Sibelius.

That's a much more comprehensive instrument list than before.

There doesn't seem to be a loyalty discount for owning WIVI. $129 for all.

For those that own at least two of the three notation programs, I'll be very curious to hear whether this plug-in is more full-featured in one or the other.

Also, I get the impression this is where Wallander has put all of his time during the years of silence, and that he sees this as a more lucrative business than the WIVI product. That would make a lot of sense.

A lot to learn from that interview, about the differences between the notation programs as well as other stuff.

I never knew that Sibelius is friendlier to plug-ins than Finale or Dorico.

I'm using the terminology in the traditional sense of software extensions, not effects plug-ins for DAW's.

The winds (woodwinds/brasswinds) are based on additive synthesis, and the strings and percussion on Wallander’s sample dynamics technology.

Although this is half a year old, the earlier discussion of Arne's announced efforts to integrate NotePerformer with Dorico (the previous version, of course) are informative:

I haven't yet found an updated discussion by the Dorico user community regarding NotePerformer. But it's still early yet as the product was just announced today or yesterday.

I had some about-to-expire credits so bought Note Performer 3 last night at discount.

Haven't had a chance to try it yet. It shows up as an AU in Studio One but won't load there -- it is probably tethered to some specific notation app protocols.

Note that the website is the only place with product documentation that describes what the product contains, so I did some snapshots of that (printing didn't work).

The user manual is in three sections, and specific to what you do to get it to work in Finale, Dorico, and Sibelius.
