SMI arrived today and after installing onto PB 1.5 with1 Gig Ram
it crapped out as soon as an SI reverb was used with the large piano sample even with the buffer set to 256.
I also found that some of the string samples seemed dirty..
Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
Maybe there is a better way to set it up...
More experimenting tomorrow and I will post any new developments.
Cheers..

Re: MSI on a PB 1.5
I have a Powerbook G4 1.67GHz w/2GB RAM. I set my DP buffer to 512 because I was getting distortion and clipping at 256. I haven't had too much time yet in testing my performance with more than a few tracks. I also ran into problems with the convoluted reverbs; my system cannot quite keep up; so, switched to the Fast Reverbs for now.
I was able to get up to 4 instruments simultaneously; including the big sampled grand pianos and big sampled strings. I haven't pushed the limits yet, because I only have tried up to 4 instruments. I will report back later when I get a chance to add more tracks.
