Intel kernel bug

I've been following this story all day:

There seems to be a lot of conflicting info about this. Intel is denying the severity of the flaw. Some sources say Macs are affected. The original The Register article says that Macs were patched as of 10.3.2 in the latest update. I'm not sure how Apple would have known about it on December 6.

Has anybody noticed a "dramatic slowdown" of their computers since the 10.13.2 Security update? I can't say that I have.

Me, neither. I'm running 10.13.3 Beta right now, and it's snappy as all getout, too.

They knew. It's the press that is just now getting the word.
